§ 01 — The Nitzu Effect

THE NITZU EFFECT

WHEN DEPENDENCE BECOMES INVISIBLE,
IT CAN FEEL LIKE INDEPENDENCE.

invisible

Every seamless digital transaction is the visible surface of an invisible human chain. The interface hides the dependency. The dependency remains.

TECHNOLOGY DOES NOT NECESSARILY REDUCE HUMAN INTERDEPENDENCE.

IT CAN REDUCE ITS VISIBILITY.

The Nitzu Effect — Canonical Definition

A PROPOSED SYSTEMATIC CALIBRATION ERROR IN WHICH TECHNOLOGICAL MEDIATION REDUCES THE PERCEIVED VISIBILITY OF HUMAN CONTRIBUTION

A proposed systematic calibration error in which technological mediation reduces the perceived visibility of human contribution, causing individuals to underestimate their dependence on others and consequently overestimate their own self-sufficiency.

§ 09

THE NITZU GAP

The difference between actual human interdependence and perceived human interdependence.

§ 10

SAME SERVICE. SAME RESULT. SAME HUMAN CONTRIBUTION.

ONLY VISIBILITY CHANGES.

§ 11

TECHNOLOGY IS NOT THE ENEMY.

SEAMLESSNESS IS THE CLUE.

The problem is not the tool. It is what the tool makes invisible.
